Our system was compromised (ko.php and index.php in /var/www/html/fop2/lang directory etc.). I upgraded FOP2 and deleted those files. How can we tell if our system is safe at this point? What are our options for other remediation?

Thanks for creating the Telegram channel. It's a convenient way to keep up with updates, especially for users who already use Telegram. It would be even more useful if it included more frequent posts and links to important announcements or support resources. Keep up the good work!

You are right, the fix apply to the Asternic Call Center Stats DEVEL version. Setting a strong password for the admin user or perhaps also renaming the admin user to something else will prevent the automated script kiddie attack.

Websocket is enabled by default in FOP2, so you do not have to do anything to have it. If you use https, then you must be sure to configure related ssl_ entries in fop2.cfg matching whatever certificate and key files you have configure din your web server, for example: ssl_certificate_file=/etc/pki/tls/certs/localhost.crt ssl_certificate_key_file=/etc/pki/tls/private/localhost.key As for firefox, it might reject self signed certificates for secure websocket by default, problem is that it does it silently, with no option for you to accept the self signed certificate, you can overcome that by pointing firefox just once to https://your.server:4445, then it will let you accept the self signed certificate. After that try to log to FOP2 normally. Best regards,

Thank you, I will make sure we're all up to date, and since we aren't accessible from the internet, comment out those lines if there's still an issue.

There is a reason, its a way to avoid resource exhaustion attacks. Any non authenticated connection will be kicked out by the server. That is the reason of the disconnect after a while.

Ok.. problem was due to the usage of a multi tenant system with FOP2 version 2.30.00 (old). The latest FOP2 Manager allows the selection of individual tenants to enable the service, so you can select which tenants will have access to the FOP2 service. That way you can use the standard license with no extra costs to give service for up to 5 tenants. sbasan had much more than 5 tenants, but not an extended license, and the Tenant selection in the newer FOP2 Manager works only with the updated autoconfiguration scripts in more recent FOP2 versions. By using an older FOP2 version, the previous autoconfiguration scripts just printed out all tenants, not only the selected ones from the FOP2 Manager, and reached the 5 tenant limit making some tenants unavailable. So, if you use an older FOP2 with a multi tenant system and plan to use the tenant selection via the FOP2 Manager, then go ahead and upgrade everything: fop2 and the fop2 manager. If you upgrade only the fop2 manager you have the change of having features that won't work with the server, like this tenant selection. In this particular case, updating just autoconfig-users.sh in his installation with the latest version fixed the issue.

#Installing FOP2 on MiRTA PBX ( http://www.mirtapbx.com ) Since version 2.30, FOP2 includes support for the multi tenant MiRTA PBX. As this system uses the Asterisk realtime backend in all aspects, there are some specific steps to integrate FOP2 with it. Also the multi tenancy aspect of the PBX might require some code tweaks on certain FOP2 components (like call history/cdr). Here is a brief guide on installing FOP2 on this platform: Download and Install FOP2 normally. MiRTA uses the Centos 64 bits platform. So you should run these commands: [fixed] cd /usr/src wget http://www.fop2.com/download/centos64 -O fop2.tgz tar zxvf fop2.tgz cd fop2 make [/fixed] Change ownership of files to ‘apache’ user: [fixed] chgrp apache /usr/local/fop2 chown apache.apache /var/www/html/fop2 chown apache.apache /var/www/html/fop2/* -R chgrp apache /usr/local/fop2/fop2settings.db [/fixed] Add a new manager user into Asterisk by editing the file /etc/asterisk/manager.conf and adding at the end: [fop2] secret = fop333 deny = 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 permit = 127.0.0.1/255.255.255.0 read = all write = all writetimeout = 1000 eventfilter=!Event: RTCP* eventfilter=!Event: VarSet eventfilter=!Event: Cdr eventfilter=!Event: DTMF eventfilter=!Event: AGIExec eventfilter=!Event: ExtensionStatus eventfilter=!Event: ChannelUpdate eventfilter=!Event: ChallengeSent eventfilter=!Event: SuccessfulAuth Edit the fop2 configuration file located in /usr/local/fop2/fop2.cfg ** set manager_user and manager_secret with the same user/secret you created on the previous step: manager_user=fop2 manager_secret=fop333 ** set odbc voicemail: voicemail_path=dbi:ODBC:asterisk1!voicemail_messages Edit the FOP2 Manager configuration file located in /var/www/html/fop2/admin/config.php $DBHOST="localhost"; $DBUSER="root"; $DBPASS="passw0rd"; $DBNAME=“asterisk"; $ENGINE="mirtapbx"; In the same FOP2 Manager configuration file, change the admin user and password. We strongly suggest to use a different user/password combo than the one provided by default. $ADMINUSER = "fop2admin"; $ADMINPWD = "fop2admin"; Initialize de FOP2 Database by running this command: [fixed] php -f /var/www/html/fop2/admin/update_conf.php 1 [/fixed] Restart the Asterisk Manager with this command: [fixed]asterisk -rx "manager reload"[/fixed] Log into the FOP2 Manager by pointing your browser to http://your.server/fop2/admin using the user/password you configured before. Once logged in, go to the Plugins tab and install the MiRTA plugin. Once the plugin is installed, copy the ODBC compatibility helper into your MiRTA installation: [fixed] cp /var/www/html/fop2/admin/plugins/mirtapbx/fop2-odbc-mirta.conf /etc/asterisk/func_odbc.d/ [/fixed] From the FOP2 Manager, select a particular tenant, then go to the Users tab and select the "Recreate Users" options from the Action menu for that tenant. This is the basics to get you started.

  • FOP2 Modifications for FreePBX with BRIA module

There is a commercial module for FreePBX to be used with BRIA softphones that does strange things to the FreePBX configuration tables/databases, and then breaks the FOP2 manager auto configuration as it generates TWO devices for a user, without being in user^device mode. There is a way to make the FOP2 Manager and FOP2 autoconfiguration scripts works, but requires some tweaks: Create a mysql trigger Use a customized autoconfig-buttons.sh script For the MySQL trigger, create a file named trigger.sql with this content: DROP TRIGGER IF EXISTS AddNines; DELIMITER $$ CREATE TRIGGER AddNines BEFORE INSERT ON fop2buttons FOR EACH ROW BEGIN IF(new.Device like '%/%' AND new.Device not like '%/999%' AND new.type='extension') then set new.`Channel` = REPLACE( new.Device, '/', '/999'); END IF; END; $$ DELIMITER ; You have to create it in MySQL with this command (you must know the MySQL root password): [fixed] mysql -u root -p asterisk < trigger.sql [/fixed] The trigger will populate the channel field in the fop2buttons table with the extra device that Bria uses. Then you must alter autoconfig-buttons.sh, look for this query: mysql -EB -u $DBUSER $DBPASS -h $DBHOST $DBNAME -e \ "SET NAMES utf8; SELECT device AS channel, type,if(type<>'trunk',exten,'') AS extension,\ label, mailbox, context, privacy,\`group\`,IF(type='trunk',IF(email<>'',concat('splitme-',email),''),email) as email, \ channel as extrachannel, $FINAL_FIELDS FROM fop2buttons \ WHERE exclude=0 \ ORDER BY $ORDER" | sed '/\*\*/d' | sed 's/: /=/g' | sed '/.*=$/d' | while read LINEA and replace it with this one instead: mysql -EB -u $DBUSER $DBPASS -h $DBHOST $DBNAME -e \ "SET NAMES utf8; SELECT IF(type='extension' AND channel<>'',channel, device) AS channel, type,if(type<>'trunk',exten,'') AS extension,\ label, mailbox, context, privacy,\`group\`,IF(type='trunk',IF(email<>'',concat('splitme-',email),''),email) as email, \ IF(type='extension' AND channel<>'',device, channel) as extrachannel, $FINAL_FIELDS FROM fop2buttons \ WHERE exclude=0 \ ORDER BY $ORDER" | sed '/\*\*/d' | sed 's/: /=/g' | sed '/.*=$/d' | while read LINEA Finally log into the FOP2 Manager and select the Buttons tab, and then restart the FOP2 service.

If in your dialplan you have SetVar (xxxxx) then that variable xxxx might become available by the same name. The dialplan is yours to configure, so there is no fixed variable except for the ones mentioned in the sample. If you use FreePBX, one possibility is to try #{FROM_DID} Best regards,
