after installing fop2 , a problem disappeared

hi ,
recently i installed fop2 and really a powerfull tool ,

now i want to ask ,
i use analog trunk dahdi lines .

before installing fop2 , i was using fop1 , and there were alot of hangs of trunk lines , i mean an alalog line is being busy for along times , and i have to to double click on the trunk icon to solve the issue ,
and actually i didnt know why this problem occurs .

after installing fop2 , this problem has never occured ,
i mean that the trunk analog dahdi lines has never been hanged

my question is ,


is this a feature in fop2 that solve an issue in fop1 ?????
was this a bug in fop1 and solved by fop2 ????

Hi,

My guess is that something else might have changed in your asterisk configuration when you installed FOP2, as nor fop or fop2 can cause hanged dahdi/zap channels. That is most probably a misconfiguration on zap/dahdi or improper signaling setup (not matching the one of your telco), etc.

FOP or FOP2 only acts on channels if you perform an action to them, not when monitoring, and the actions are far from keeping the channel up but the opposite (hangup, record or transfer/redirect).

hi admin , it seems that fop2 has no relation in the issue :shock: :shock: :shock:

but im sure i didnt install any additional things nor modifiying any configuration files .
