I'm considering purchasing FOP2 and was curious to what the IM explorer does... I'm about to move my IM users to the Spark IM server on the Elastix install, however, one of my reasons was assuming the IM explorer would let me monitor all of my users IM's... Is that what the IM explorer does? I know Spark IM server or I guess OpenFire server has IM archiving and not sure to if it reads that archiving data source or if it just monitors IM's in real time.

    Hi,

    FOP2 chat feature does not have an "explorer" (you might get confused with the Voicemail Explorer module). Anyways, FOP2 has the option to archive all chats on an sqlite database. But there is no web interface to inspect that database, you can use any tool that can read an sqlite.db for that.

    I have a customer who wants to view all OpenFire chats on his Elastix box, but, he's not too tech savy. Hopefully I can find an easy viewer for him. Having a IM chat viewer integrated to the Fop2 and/or Elastix web interface would be great.

    FOP2 chat is not related to jabber/openfire. Is self contained and stand alone. FOP2 is intended to work with asterisk and with no extra software anywhere.

    OpenFire is included in Elastix (not fop2), and as such, you could request that as a feature to Elastix mantainers.
