Asterisk 11 and FreePBX 2.11

I recently upgraded to Asterisk 11 and FreePBX 2.11 and I then installed fop2. I added the admin module and got it all set up. I can log in and view all the buttons I had set up. However, none of the action buttons on the top work.

Has anyone tried fop 2 with the new asterisk and freePBX?

I reverted back to the older free pbx because I love fop2 and just got a license. But I do like the new features in freepbx and would like to update back to it, once there is confirmations that fop2 will work as planned.

any ideas?

  • fop2 works with any version of asterisk, including 11. You most probably lacked the "originate" permission in /etc/asterisk/manager.conf or something to that effect.

My suggestion is to use a special manager user as described in this post:

  • Hi

I'm running AsteriskNow 3.0.0 Asterisk (Ver. 11.2.1) with FreePBX FreePBX 2.11.0.0beta2.2 and after some tiny issues have got FOP2 running perfectly on this platform.

Followed the Installation Guides provided on FOP2's website and it pretty much worked straight out of the box if you need any help drop me a message.
  • Hi KasperNZL,

can you detail what you had to do? I have asterisknow 3.0.0, yum update, yum install development tools (to get the make). it installs with no errors, but when I try to start it I get this:

    Thanks!

    root@localhost ~]# service fop2 start

  • Hi Michael,

You need to create a symlink for libcrypto as described in the last FAQ question in www.fop2.com/documentation-faq.php

Or you can try to install version 2.27 directly, that should work without symlinks:

    http://download.fop2.com/fop2-2.27-centos-i386.tgz
    http://download.fop2.com/fop2-2.27-centos-x86_64.tgz

    Best regards,
  • Nicolas,

    Thanks much.
2.27 did not work either, but this sure did:
    32-bit: ln -s /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.10 /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.6

    Thanks again
    Michel.
