Blank Operator Panel

Hi Everyone,

First time user here of FOP2, hoping someone can help me.

I have installed fop2 but when I log in as an extension in IE or Chrome I only see filter, dial and Presence boxes at the top and nothing else.

What I have done wrong?

running freepbx-2.11.0.25 64bit

Thanks

Al

  • Did you configure fop2 users? buttons? groups ? What you see is generally a result of your configuration, please tell me what did you configure or not so I can guide/help you.

    Best regards,
  • Hi there,

I used the link below to install which seemed to go fine:-

    http://www.fop2.com/documentation-insta ... arball.php

I checked the below two lines were present and was hoping it would automatically configure the buttons etc?

    Thanks for the help

    Automatic config for FreePBX

Included in the distributions there are a couple of scripts to configure users and buttons automagically.. To use them, just configure fop2 as follows:

    /usr/local/fop2/fop2.cfg

    #exec autoconfig-users-freepbx.sh

    /usr/local/fop2/autobuttons.cfg
    #exec autoconfig-buttons-freepbx.sh
  • Those autoconfig entries are for version 2.27 or older. The latest version is 2.28, that also bundles the fop2manager tool that lets you configure users and buttons and the like. What fop2 version did you install? My question was pointed not to the fop2.cfg entry but what was configured for users/buttons/groups in fop2manager or fop2admin. The autoconfiguration scripts will read the database tables maintained by those tools to generate configuration info. For example, if you create a group and assign it to a user, you will be restricting that user view of other buttons.

    Best regards,
  • Thanks for the help Nicholas, managed to get it resolved by going into the admin gui and hitting the refresh Asterisk button and everything then populated.
  • Glad it worked! Best regards,

Nicolas, it would be helpful to update/add the docs/wikis with
    1) fop2admin now became fop2_manager
    2) admin panel page url is
    /fop2/admin

    3) and solution of this post, i.e. "reload Asterisk"
for new starters like me who downloads currently latest 2.28 version and later. Otherwise old forum threads are a bit misleading. The page http://www.fop2.com/documentation-installation-freepbx-module.php should also be updated, especially the download link IMO should link to legacy releases of fop2admin with related explanation.

Thanks for giving a chance to the rest of the world to operate their calls!

  • Thanks for the suggestion! I have modified that page as you suggested (for those who reach it via web search or forum/remote links, as that page is not linked anymore in the fop2.com webpage). Hopefully it will make things simpler and less confusing.
