Cannot Revoke License

I'm looking to change the hostname of one of my machines running fop2.

When I try to run the ./fop2_server --revoke, it prompts me for a serial code. I enter the license key given to me originally in the email that I received from you guys, and then the program reports that "Serial code not available for revocation on this machine!"

How can I revoke the license so I can reinstall it after I changed the system hostname?

I've tried changing the hostname first, THEN registering the flash panel, but to no avail. It says that the license is already in use.

  • If you see that you cannot revoke it means that you already have an invalid license, or that you have a valid license but the code was already used on a different machine already, making that server non operational. What is the output from /usr/local/fop2/fop2_server --test ?

As for license problems, it is better to use http://support.asternic.biz for it as we might require from you your activation code and other sensitive information that is not suitable for a public forum.

    Best regards,
  • Oddly enough, this is my output when I run that command. I'll start an support.asternic.biz issue that refers to this post for good measure as well.

    [root@host fop2]# ./fop2_server --test
Flash Operator Panel 2 - Invalid license for this machine.
Flash Operator Panel 2 - White Label Version.
Flash Operator Panel 2 - Valid License (7)
