No # or * working from speed dial

On the FOP2 speed dial plugin I would like to send # symbol + number. The # gets stripped though and not sent.
Any way to not have this happen?

Problem is not with the plugin but with FOP2 in itself, that will strip those characters from numbers so other places where click to call is used those characters are probably there but not really wanted/needed.

So unfortunately it cannot be fixed just with a plugin update, but with a core FOP2 update.
