Calls triggering on non-tel Google Links

Ive got a weird one for you, that has started affecting Several of my staff in the past 2 weeks.

  1. "Make phone numbers clickable" is OFF.
  2. when SOME users go to google, and try to click on SOME links, (it seems, anecdotally, that all links that do this have the letters "tel" in them..., clicking the HTTPS: link triggers the same effect as highlighting a number, right click, and selecting "Dial"

if I Disable the FOP2 chrome extension, clicking on links opens the link, as it should.

I've now got 3 users having reported this issue, and I can reproduce it on their computers.

Any suggestions on how or where to start on resolving this?
