Problems Upgrading from FOP1 to FOP2

I just upgraded from FOP1 (which worked, v2.11) to FOP2 (install, registration). However, once I login (192.168.x.x/fop2) with my extension and password I get a mostly blank screen which only says in the upper left hand corner:

Filter: ________ Dial: __________ [Drop down for availability here]

The extensions, trunks, parked area, etc are not appearing?

We're using Trixbox 2.6.2.3, the original customized version of FOP1 was installed with the help of Nicolas. Any suggestions on what needs to be tweaked? Thanks!

  • Hi,

You probably need to update also the fop2admin freepbx module, if not the button autoconfiguration will fail and you will get empty buttons.
  • Hello Nicholas

I am actually having the same issue. First thank you for a great product, I've installed this on nearly 50 clients so far.
However this is the first time I am having this type of issue. Normally I would just edit and force the buttons but this specific client wishes to use the freepbx module to make changes in the future.

This install has http://fop2.com/file.php?file=20 installed and fopadmin 1.2.6

Asterisk version is Asterisk 1.4.22-4 (trixbox 2.6.2.3) - I havent had a chance to upgrade them as of yet in regards to asterisk etc..

Any ideas to help point me in the right direction here?

I installed in fop2 first then the freepbx module.

If I do not create groups and don't use the web interface (freepbx) the buttons show up just fine however if I DO use the freepbx interface to configure groups, the page shows up blank after logging in.

I thought this was an issue with mismatch version from fop2 and freepbx module - however I appear to be using what is directed.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards

  • Hi,

If you create groups, you must assign groups to users. Are you doing that somehow? In order to debug your fop2admin configuration, you can run the autoconfiguration scripts and look at the output:

    /usr/local/fop2/autoconfig-users-freepbx.sh

That will print all your user, permissions and group configuration. Remember that users will only see buttons that are part of the groups they have assigned.
  • Hi Nicolás,

Thank you for the response and tip. -however I understand this in regards to assigning the users to the group - and is being done via the freepbx module (fopadmin 1.2.6) using fop2 version http://fop2.com/file.php?file=20.

The button and user scripts run fine and if I really wanted to I could just not use the fop2admin and edit how I like.. But in this case the client of mine wishes to use the fop2admin and I havent had this problem with it in the past. You would think its a mismatch version issue, but I'm using what is recommended. --One thing I can note that is different is that this client is using the demo version currently - this hickup has stalled them from ordering at this time.

Let me ask, the registration has no bearing on using the group display feature does it? (if everything is under 15 buttons) Because as is when we use the fop2admin - the whole page is blank. *only when we use fop2admin (versions of everything is above)

    Kind Regards and Thanks
