FOP2 FOR USER & DEVICE

Halo FOP2,

I have question for u, about device & user for free sitting agent.

I have case :

Example :

Agent-A login from device : 101 -> user : adam
Agent-B login from device : 102 -> user : khoo

In FOP2 monitoring, i see :

[101] adam
[102] khoo

After a few days (example : tomorrow)

Agent-A login from device : 102 -> user : adam
Agent-B login from device : 101 -> user : khoo

In FOP2 monitoring, i still see:

[101] adam
[102] khoo

How can to make config fop2 monitoring dynamic, so in fop2 i will see:

[102] adam
[101] khoo

In a correct free sitting scenario, users (extensions) should be fixed

1000 adam
1001 khoo

then user 1000 can log using device sip/100 or sip/101 or iax2/test

So you will dial extension 1000 and reach the correct person.

FOP2 supports user and device mode for FreePBX, and the button definitions are [USER/1000] and the device is derived from ASTDB entries.

There is also a hotdesk plugin for FOP2 that can perform a hotdesk scenario without the need to use user and device mode, but has quite a unique and specific setup and it is not documented. Where you can log into fop2 with your extension number, then you are presented with a box to select the station (device) and profile (queues you want to be logged in).
