Using Line 2 area to display 'extended' status info?

We currently have FOP2 and Asterisk 1.6. One of the managers, would like for us to be able to see, on the FOP2, the status of the user, to display what the user might be working on.

For example, he would like for a user to select the "Other" option, enter a brief description of the task (project name / code), and have the description display in the space currently occupied by Line 2.

We currently only use 1 line on the phones, so losing the Line 2 status would not be an issue.

Is this possible?
Any suggestions on making it work?

It is not directly possible, you need a custom fop2.js client for that. The other state can be read when you mouse over the presence icon.. not the same as displaying it into the line2 line, but it is there for you to see.
