Read data from AstDB

Guys, is fop2 able to read data from AstDB?
Like, in a extension config, can the field "extension" show something from Astdb?
If yes, how do I do this ?

    It reads some values from astdb but for its own presence states. The next release will be able to query a custom astdb entry and set information on the button itself with an extra notification icon. By default it will be used to display CallForward state in FreePBX setups.

    But you will have to wait until the next release...
