issue with fop2 move to new server

I moved the fop2 server to a new server and now get a hang "One moment please....Connecting to server 1.2.3, ad infinitum"
Things I've tried:

needed 64 bit build. dealt with that.

reinstalled the license
-
ran "fop2_server - test" succesfully. says AMI connection is good.

I don't think the issue is the mysql connection, but that appears ok as well.

Reading other forum posts, I did try multiple browsers (FF and Chrome) ... no dice

I disabled websockets to no avail as well.
Any other ideas I can try ?
I thought I wrote this up earlier....but I don't see it... My apologies if you've gotten it twice.
