    Hi,
when I start the fop2_server process it results in:
Can't run with DEBUGGING Perl at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm line 253.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /tmp/par-root/cache-48626947011371500ef4ae3bad7a2f0261fb9384/inc/lib/Filter/Crypto/Decrypt.pm line 37.
Compilation failed in require at script/fop2_server.pl line 1.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at script/fop2_server.pl line 1.

My installed Perl version is 5.8.5.
Any ideas what is wrong with my installation.

    Thanks

Yes, you have a debugging perl. FOP2 does not start if you have a debuggin perl installed.

In the download section you have links to the perl rpms you need to install in order to make fop2 work on Centos4.

      Best regards,

        I also have this problem.

*Can't run with DEBUGGING Perl at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm line 253.
        *
So I tried to install the perl from the download page but I get

*package perl-5.8.5-49.el4 (which is newer than perl-5.8.5-36.3) is already installed
        *
So I need to take off the newer perl and install the older perl - how can I do that?

I tried yum remove perl-5.8.5-49.el4 but yum asked me if it was ok to remove 262 applications Y/N so I said No!

Is there an easy way to move to the older perl?

        thanks,

        seabro

Try the flags --nodeps or --force , I do not remember which one.
