When you transfer to an external number, you won't see activity on the extension button. (If that is what you are asking?)
You might try to make it show activity if you add as an extra channel for that extension Local/externalnumber@outbound-xxx and also be sure to set the /n suffix on the dial string. That might work, but it is outside the scope of fop2 itself.
