Ok, I got it to work.
I went ahead and set the Chanspy to d using the Fop2Admin Buttons page, and it worked. I was able to switch modes by using the keypad, and it worked.

What I would like to suggest is instead of the grey line it will be great to show something like "No actions to perform". It will save a lot of wondering and googling time.
